Visions of the Motherland

A journey into where the beat comes from, the Motherland, Africa. House music has an origin in it's DNA that comes from dancing around the fire. Four-on-the-Floor, House music's rhythmic metronome derives it's core "bounce" from the tribal rhythm of old. "Visions of the Motherland" speaks to African based culture in America through fusing chants and songs from the Pygmy, Maasai, Zulu, Masa and Chokwe tribes, with Afro-House and Tech-House beats, live bass-lines, percussion, instruments, melodies and samples from America's African rooted leaders, past and present.

"Visions of the Motherland" was created as one continual 70 minute piece that takes us on a dance voyage to the place we all came from, Africa.

Michaelangelo Wolfe is an artist, producer, DJ and sonic healer. His experience ranges from live performances with the likes of Gnarls Barkley, Fat Boy Slim, Kēvens, and AERIAL2012, where he was one of the major creative and live components.

Now his performances can consist of multi instruments and digital equipment to Afro-House and Tech-House Dj sets that take the listeners on a spiritual journey while stomping your feet.

His music production is varied, but usually resides in the genres of electronica, specifically the sub-genres of House Music and has music distrubution through Dallas Austin Distribution. He realizes his dreams with his musical partners through his online label and studio, Dirt Sounds.
